Church Of St Mary And All Saints, UK The church's spire was built much later than the building itself. It was built in the second half of the 14th century. The spire has a very unusual twisted shape. The years of construction of the spire coincided with the plague that struck the city. According to one version, all experienced master builders died during this epidemic. Ordinary handymen had to complete their work. This resulted in a significant curvature of the spire. There is another version of its unusual shape. It is associated with the presence of lead in the coating of the spire. This metal gets very hot in the sun. This could have caused the tower to twist over time.

Locals have many incredible legends associated with the ancient religious building. According to one of them, the Devil running away from a local blacksmith damaged the church's spire. The old Church of St. Mary and All Saints is notable not only for its original appearance but also for its interior decoration. Many ancient elements have been preserved in it. The old cemetery is also located on the territory of the church. You can see the tombs of many famous residents of the city there. To the beginning - Millennium Tower
