San Pedro de Atacama, Chile One of the main symbols of the town is the white church of San Pedro built in the 17th century. While walking through the streets, you can see traditional whitewashed houses made of adobe stone. In the northern part of the town, you can see the ruins of older settlements, as well as remains of the fortress Pucara de Keator.

Many travelers are attracted to the wilderness by the ancient settlement of Tulor. That's an important archaeological area, where numerous unique artifacts were found. San Pedro de Atacama is one of the few places in the country, where you can taste the real chili. It is grown in a very dry environment, so the pepper is incredibly hot. The main natural attraction of this place is the Moon Valley. That's an amazing desert region with numerous picturesque canyons and rock formations.
