From series “The Most Dangerous Railroads in the World”

Year: 19th century.

The world’s most mystical railroad is located in Pensylvania. For many years a stretch of railroad named Duffy’s cut inspires musicians and filmmakers to create new and new masterpieces. In 1832 a railroad contractor hired 57 workers, two months later, all 57 lost their lives under mysterious circumstances. The workers are believed to have died during another outbreak of cholera. They were buried in a common grave near the intersection of King Road and Sugartown Road. This section of railroad is considered the most abnormal one.

Duffy's Cut, USA Local residents and train drivers believe that the railroad is haunted. The images of people walking on the tracks, horrified inexperienced drivers time and again, only a miracle had prevented accidents. A huge number of anomalous facts associated with the Duffy’s cut railway, attracted researchers and archaelogists. Archaeological excavation by a research team began in 2004, five years later, the researchers announced their discovery that shocked the world.

The researcher suggested the possibility that the workers died in a violent manner. It’s possible that some of them were buried alive in the common grave. To honor the immigrant workers, commemorative memorials have been established nearby, since then the number of abnormal phenomena decreased significantly. Nonetheless, the mysterious railway Duffy’s cut continues to attract adventurous travellers. They do their best to gaze into the vicinities, hoping to see a real ghost.
