You can visit the apartment-museum of the famous playwright and poet Gabriele D’Annunzio in the Italian city of Pescara. The building where this museum is located was built in the 18th century. The future world-famous poet was born and spent his youth in it. The historic building was declared a national landmark in the early 20th century. The museum was opened there in 1963. The building was badly damaged during the Second World War. But it was fully restored by 1949.

Museum-Apartment of Gabriele DAnnunzio, Italy The museum occupies nine rooms of the historic building today. They are located on the first floor. Old furniture and interior items that belonged to the poet's family have been preserved here. There are also many old photos and works of art here. Part of the rooms is reserved for storing an exhibition describing the history of Pescara. You can find out about the most important events in the city that happened in the 19th and 20th centuries here. Interesting historical documents and photos are collected in the rooms.

One of the rooms is dedicated to the events of the First World War. The poet took a direct part in military operations. Visitors to the museum can see wartime photographs. The poet personally took many of these photos. The museum has a very spectacular modern design, despite its specific theme. The atmosphere of past centuries reigns in some of its rooms.
