Apartment-museum of Albert Einstein, Switzerland
From series “Apartment-museums of great celebrities”
The former apartment of the world's most famous physicist and researcher Albert Einstein is located in Bern on 49 Kramgasse Street. He lived in this apartment for a very short time, only two years. He worked for the Swiss patent office during this period. The museum occupies two floors of a historic building. The old furniture of the scientist's apartment was restored as accurately as possible on the second floor. Beautiful antique furniture and photos of the scientist and his family members are among the exhibits presented in the museum. You will also see authentic interior items that once adorned his home.
A rich collection of exhibits is presented on the third floor. They are dedicated to the scientific works of the physicist. Informative documentaries are shown for museum visitors in order to make it easier for them to understand all the nuances of its intricate scientific activities. It was in this apartment that Albert Einstein wrote his theory of relativity, as well as numerous notes outlining the basics of modern physics.
