In the western part of Scottish island Skuy has placed the legendary lighthouse "Neyst Point" - one of the most beautiful in the world. However, this tower is popular among tourists due to its architecture peculiarities. The area, where the lighthouse is situated, is ideal for viewing the whales and dolphins.

The lighthouse was built in 1909 and now it is absolutely automatized and continues to work. Its height is over forty meters, in a good weather, the fire is seen for thirty meters. A great number of shipwrecks had happened on the west coast before the lighthouse was built. Over 500 people were dead, according to the pattern summing-up.

From 1971 the lighthouse was an architectural landmark of the state significance. On the coastline you will see not only the lighthouse but also the old keepers' houses. Unfortunately, nowadays all these buildings are the private property. That’s why tourists can't visit them. You can adore the wonderful lighthouse during the whole year.
