For tourists the entrance to the tower is free. Visitors can get there without any difficulty because the lighthouse is open for all seasons. Every day the tower is opened for visiting for two hours. You can go upstairs to view on one of the most beautiful beaches of the country.

Lighthouse Kovalam, India The lighthouse, that we see today was built several decades ago, in 1972. The first lighthouse has appeared there much earlier but within the years was fully destroyed. For hundreds of years the lighthouse has been helping local sailors to be in safe. They go fishing every evening and return with or without the catch early in the morning.

Tourists visiting this picturesque coastal area usually after the viewing square want to see more. The coconut topes and other outstanding nature landmarks are placed not far from this lighthouse. People tend to stay for a night in this place to view the lighthouse at work. Near the Kovalam beach there are a lot of wonderful hotels.
