Castle Howard is a stately home in North Yorkshire, England. It is a private residence of the Howard family for more than 300 years. The castle was built on the cusp of the 17th and 18th centuries under the order of earl Carlile. The building was finished in 1712, and until nowadays, it is the most magnificent Baroque building in Great Britain. The palace has a great park in the French style, not so far from the park complex has placed a wonderful arboretum.
In 1940 the state home has suffered from the fire. Thanks to the help of skilful architects, it was rebuilt as soon as possible. Today the greatest country’s palace is open for visitors. It houses the unique collection of paintings that includes Michelangelo works. The palace is usually used for cultural meetings. The luckiest tourists can become guests at a Victorian tea-party.
