Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport is located 10 km from Santa Rosa (Sonoma County) in the American state of California. It was named after the famous comic book writer who lived in Santa Rosa, Charles M. Schulz. STS Airport was opened in 1942 as a military airfield. After the Second World War, the airfield stopped being used for military purposes. Later, it passed to the civil administration. The airport has been serving civil commercial domestic flights since the 40s of the last century. At Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport, there are two air-strips and a passenger terminal that is divided into two parts. In the territory of the airport, there is the air base of the Fire Protection and Forestry Department.

From the airport, you can travel to Santa Rosa and other cities by public bus, train, taxi, transfer, and limo. You can also rent a car. To catch a train, you need to take a transfer to the railway “Airport” station that is located 2.5 km from the terminal. Express buses go from the airport to two international airports in Oakland and San Francisco. At STS, you can use the services provided by such transport companies, as Lyft and Uber.

Car rental points are located in the terminal, in the arrival concourse. You can get the rented car in the short-term parking lot in front of the terminal (in its southern part). To do this, you need to go out of the terminal, cross the roadway and go to the short-term lot. The lot has its own exit. Cars are returned to the northern long-term parking lot A. There is a special zone for returning rented cars.

At STS, there are three parking lots: short-term, long-term A, long-term B. Parking for the first 2 hours in all the lots are free. There is an area for the boarding and deboarding of passengers in front of the terminal.
