At the booking time, please check the rental conditions carefully. Quite often, rental offices in San Jose require two credit cards to guarantee issuance of a cabrio or a roadster.

We recommend ordering additional no-excess insurance that covers your risk (franchise), since the franchise amount for cabriolets in USA is quite high.

Make sure to inspect the rental invoice issued at the office in San Jose and compare it with the information indicated in your voucher. Sometimes, rental officers make 'unintentional' mistakes in rental invoices.

In parking garage, examine the vehicle for defects and scratches carefully. If you find any of them, check whether they have been specified in your rental document.

When parking a cabriolet in San Jose, it is recommended to unfold the roof and close windows in order to prevent theft or robbery.

Driving Advices for USA – Traffic Regulations and Road Usage Peculiarities
Previous hints
Parts of roads that are adjacent to major cities are considered the most difficult ones. They are distinguished by a large number of furcations and numerous shields installed along the roads. Inexperienced drivers should move slowly on such road sections as there’s a risk of missing the right exit. Otherwise, you can lose a lot of time searching for a suitable place to turn back. Returning to a missed exit will be not easy.
All the federal roads are equipped with special service areas, which are usually located on both sides of a highway. Cars are allowed to enter these service areas only if they don’t cross the route of cars moving in the opposite direction. Each direction has its own service area. Sometimes the areas can be located between the opposite lanes – this happens when service areas are shared.
A service area is not only a place where drivers can fill the tank. There is also a special parking lot where motorists can stop their cars and get some rest. Quite often there are even small shops and fast food restaurants in service areas.

Enjoying sights of San Jose in cabriolet
San Jose is a very important city for the US. Although for a long time this city has been behind its famous neighbor, San Francisco, nowadays the city stands at the forefront of innovative technologies, as well as of the development and introduction of new technology projects. Thanks to its location in the famous Silicon Valley, this city started developing rapidly in the middle of the 90s. This has led to a significant increase of businesses, and then of population and infrastructure. Today San Jose is a large technological and business center. Here are located the offices of large international corporations including Google Inc, Yahoo!, Microsoft, Ebay, IBM and many others.
This city doesn’t look like any other city; here simply everything is soaked in technology and commerce. However, there are still the unresolved issues connected with the high cost of housing and lack of territory. The landscapes of San Jose look like the techno city of future. You will find here big houses made of glass and concrete and numerous constructions. However, the experience shows that not everything is so smooth here. For example, let’s remember the fall of the Internet market in the early 2000s. At that time many companies went bankrupt, and people became unemployed. So even though this small town has managed to become a big business center, we should not forget that there is not only profit and success, but also the other side of the coin.
