Car Rental in Reno

Convertible rental in Reno

The most widespread cabriolet models offered for rent in USA are: Chrysler Sebring Convertible, Ford Mustang Convertible and VW Eos Convertible.

At the booking time, please check the rental conditions carefully. Quite often, rental offices in Reno require two credit cards to guarantee issuance of a cabrio or a roadster.

We recommend ordering additional no-excess insurance that covers your risk (franchise), since the franchise amount for cabriolets in USA is quite high.

Make sure to inspect the rental invoice issued at the office in Reno and compare it with the information indicated in your voucher. Sometimes, rental officers make 'unintentional' mistakes in rental invoices.

In parking garage, examine the vehicle for defects and scratches carefully. If you find any of them, check whether they have been specified in your rental document.

When parking a cabriolet in Reno, it is recommended to unfold the roof and close windows in order to prevent theft or robbery.

OrangeSmile.com wishes you an exciting journey with an open roof around USA!

Driving Advices for USA – Traffic Regulations and Road Usage Peculiarities
Previous hints
Any traffic violation will result in quite large fines. Speeding is considered one of the most serious violations. A slightly higher speed (approximately 5 - 10 miles above the limit) is likely to remain unnoticed, as the radars of local police are usually set to +11.
Drivers should be particularly careful when they drive on long descents – there is often a police patrol at the end. Experienced drivers often follow a fast moving car as that is a small guarantee that the police will stop that car for the violation of traffic rules, and the next car behind it will not be noticed by the police.
Drivers should keep in mind that they cannot leave a car in the parking lot, designed for disabled people. These parking spaces are always marked with a special sign. The fine for this violation is about 250 USD.

Rental, parking and other info on Reno Airport
Reno-Tahoe International Airport is located 6 kilometres away from the city of Reno, Nevada, USA. The airport is used both by the Air Force and by civil aviation. It was built in 1929. In 1994, it was renamed and got its present name. It’s the second busiest airline hub in Nevada in terms of commercial flights.

The airport serves over 4 million people annually. There are three runways of different length including a runway for heavy aircrafts. The airport terminal was named after Howard Cannon, the U.S. Air Force officer and senator. The terminal has two concourses — B and C. The U.S. National Guard base is located on the territory of the airport.

The city can be reached by bus (routes 12 and 19). Both routes head for the city centre. Route 19 doesn’t work on holidays. You can take a taxi or a limousine at a special stop near Exit D from the baggage reclaim hall in the north wing of the terminal. Free transfers offered by the nearby hotels are done from the same stop. The airport is situated near the crossroads of two highways — I-80 and Interstate 580. Read all...
