Long Beach Airport is located a few kilometres northeast of the city center. This airport is considered an alternative airport of the Eastern California region. Historically, the site where the air terminal is situated was known as Daugherty Field, after its first lessee, who founded an airfield here in 1923. The car rental offices are found in the Airport Ground Transportation Center, which is positioned near parking lot A. In order to get from the terminal to the car rental offices, having claimed your baggage, you should proceed from the baggage carousel area to the exit from the terminal. You can get to the Airport Ground Transportation Center by a pedestrian walkway. Just follow the signs.

The parking lot, where the car rental facilities are located, is accessible from Barbara London Drive. The Center features the representative offices of such major companies as Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, National, and Alamo. The rental cars are collected from and returned to the same location. The rental terms and conditions stipulate that the car liability insurance, the insurance in case of car accident and theft are included into the rental cost. According to the rental terms and conditions, rental cars are collected and returned with a full tank.

Long-term and short-term parking, hotels nearby

There are two parking lots in the territory of Long Beach Airport. They are parking lots A and B. Parking lot A is daily, while parking lot B is long-term. The first 20 minutes in the parking lots are free of charge. Valet parking services are available in the parking lot opposite the Airport Ground Transportation Center. This parking lot is accessible from Donald Douglas Loop.

Several hotels, which provide a free shuttle service from the airport, are nestled beside the territory of the airport. These hotels are the Hampton Inn and the Courtyard. The Marriott Hotel offers free parking for its guests.
