Albuquerque International Sunport Airport is a large commercial civil airport in New Mexico, USA. The airport is located a few km from Albuquerque. It was opened in 1939 and superseded two airports opened here before. In 1967, it gained its full name, Albuquerque Sunport Airport. It gained an international status in 1971. At the airport, there are three air-strips. The flow capacity of Sunport is over 5 million people every year. ABQ services private, corporate and general flights. The terminal is linked with the parking area by the automated system of passengers’ transportation. The passenger terminal is divided into four concourses.

You can travel to the city by train #222, 250, and 50. Buses #250 and 50 run from the airport to the center of Albuquerque. You can take a transfer to nearby cities. At the airport, you can also take a taxi, a limo or a charter. Network transport companies are represented by Uber.

To get to the car rental center, you can take a scheduled free transfer. To do this, go out of the baggage claim terminal and go to the exit from the terminal. The transfer runs from the first level of the passenger terminal (the shopping area). The car rental center organizes the work of the following car rental companies: Alamo, Avis, Advantage, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, Payless, Thrifty.

Cars of all the companies presented are taken and returned to the parking area of the car rental center. There is a special platform for returned cars in front of the center.

At the airport, there is a paid guarded parking area. You can park your car in the multi-level garage, economy parking lot, and a self-service lot (where you can pay by debit or credit card). In the garage, there are hourly and daily lots.
