In addition to the driving license, foreign drivers are required to have the “green card”, the vehicle certificate and the passport. All the documents must be presented on demand of police inspectors – they often perform document check on highways.
The police usually stop drivers who have committed a violation. A vehicle may also be stopped if it often changes speed and direction of movement. According to the current law, the driver does not have to get out of the vehicle. It is enough to open the side window and follow the instructions of the police officer.
If a police car is parked at the roadside, and it has flashing lights turned on, other cars are required to stop in front of the vehicle. You can continue moving only after that is allowed by the inspector.
