Car Rental in Kiev

Convertible rental in Kiev

The most widespread cabriolet models offered for rent in Ukraine are: BMW 3 series Cabriolet, Peugeot 206 Cabriolet, Renault Megane Cabriolet and Audi A3 Convertible.

At the booking time, please check the rental conditions carefully. Quite often, rental offices in Kiev require two credit cards to guarantee issuance of a cabrio or a roadster.

We recommend ordering additional no-excess insurance that covers your risk (franchise), since the franchise amount for cabriolets in Ukraine is quite high.

Make sure to inspect the rental invoice issued at the office in Kiev and compare it with the information indicated in your voucher. Sometimes, rental officers make 'unintentional' mistakes in rental invoices.

In parking garage, examine the vehicle for defects and scratches carefully. If you find any of them, check whether they have been specified in your rental document.

When parking a cabriolet in Kiev, it is recommended to unfold the roof and close windows in order to prevent theft or robbery.

OrangeSmile.com wishes you an exciting journey with an open roof around Ukraine!

Driving Advices for Ukraine – Traffic Regulations and Road Usage Peculiarities
Previous hints
Many traffic regulations that are valid in Ukraine will be familiar to drivers from other countries. For example, while driving, the driver is forbidden to use any gadgets, in particular the cell phone.
Local drivers are very attentive to pedestrians. Do not forget to give way to them at unregulated crossroads. Even if there are no people close to the crossroads, it is still necessary to slow down.
Motorists must accompany all the maneuvers with respective light signals. The signal must be made beforehand - at least 50 meters before the place of the maneuver in the city and 150 - 200 meters before the place of the maneuver on country roads.

Enjoying sights of Kiev in cabriolet
The famous Mariyinsky Palace, the pearl of the eponymous park, is no less remarkable for its architectural composition. The palace was built by order of Elizaveta Petrovna, the architects were Bartolomeo Rastrelli, Ivan Michurin and Vasily Neyolov who chose Baroque as the dominant architectural style of the building. The palace was often visited by members of the royal family - for example, by Catherine II and Maria Feodorovna. Later the building served as a revolutionary committee headquarters, a museum, and an agricultural school. Nearby is the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine building designed by Volodymyr Zabolotny and completed in 1939. Classicism was chosen as the main style. It must be said that the building is attractive for its accuracy and precision - that's how any government building should look like.

Equally interesting are sculptures located throughout the city. These are monuments to great people - Bogdan Khmelnitsky, Taras Shevchenko, Volodymyr the Great, Princess Olga, as well as memorials in honor of Afghan soldiers and people affected by the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. The Motherland Monument, which is a permanent symbol of the unity of Ukraine and its capital's hallmark, is worthy of at least a cursory inspection. Beautiful parks are ideal for walking in Kyiv. This can be the already mentioned Mariyinsky Park, Shevchenko Park or Natalka Park.
