Driving Advices for Sweden – Traffic Regulations and Road Usage Peculiarities
Previous hints
There is also an unspoken rule about overtaking. For example, when a moving car behind you is about to make a maneuver, it is important to make a signal with the right beam if the road is free to maneuver, and with the left beam when overtaking is not possible for some reason.
The solid yellow line added to the edge of road means that it is prohibited to stop here. If the line is forked or dotted, it is possible to make short stops to load or unload passengers at this part of the road.
Many roads have a special lane for drivers who prefer to drive at a slow speed. According to local traffic regulations, such drivers must give way to other, faster cars, and, if possible, use a dedicated lane.

Rental, parking and other info on Stockholm - Airport Bromma
Stockholm Bromma Airport was founded in 1936. It is located just 8 kilometres from the centre of Stockholm. Though the airport operates a single runway, it handles rather large passenger traffic, which amounts to 1.8 million people per year. It was the first airport to have a paved runway from the start. After the other airport (Stockholm Arlanda Airport) had been put into operation, Stockholm Bromma Airport started focusing on business flights, general purpose flights, governmental flights, as well as flight training. In connection with the noise exposure problem, the airport has limited operating hours. Thus, it is open from Monday to Friday, from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.; on Saturdays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and on Sundays, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Buses number 110 and 152 go in the direction of Stockholm's city centre. You can get to other airports by Flygbussarna airport coaches with a change in Stockholm (Cityterminalen) to the Arlanda Express (running to Stockholm Arlanda Airport), or to the bus going to Stockholm Skavsta Airport. At Stockholm Bromma Airport, taxi stands can be found near the terminal. Alternatively, a taxi can be booked in advance, together with airline tickets. Besides, such companies as Car2go and DriveNow provide their car sharing services here.

Several major car rental companies provide their services at Stockholm Bromma Airport. These are Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, and Mabi. There are direct telephone lines to the car rental offices in the passenger terminal. Cars are collected from and returned to special parking spaces for the rental cars at the airport. If the driver wishes to return the car to another location, it should be agreed upon when concluding a rental agreement. The desks of the vehicle rental agencies are positioned at the exit from the baggage claim hall, beside the exit from the terminal building.

There is age restriction. The drivers aged between 18 and 24 years must pay an additional tax of 25% and make a deposit. Only credit (not debit) cards are accepted for payment. A certain sum of money defined by the firm is frozen on your card for the rental time in case the car is damaged or stolen. One must pay several types of insurance. Supplementary equipment and services are not included in the base rental cost and paid separately. In order to register a rental agreement you will be required to present your driver's license, the identity car with a photo, and the printed advance reservation voucher. Read all...

The Royal Opera.
Since 1935 the Royal Opera has been added to the list of buildings under protection because this building is a rare example of the late Italian Renaissance style. The Golden foyer is the most famous premise of the opera. Constructed during the reign of King Oscar II, the foyer is 28 meters long and 11 meters tall, and is decorated with gilt and paintings on the ceiling. Crystal chandeliers and mirrors only increase the dazzling splendor of this hall. The plafond painting on the grand staircase also deserves a special attention. Here are depicted poetry, singing, dancing, instrumental music and harmony that united all of them. The Royal Opera Restaurant offers its visitors not only delicious food, but also a special atmosphere. The walls of the restaurant are decorated with oak panels and the ceiling is supported with gilded columns decorated with hunting motifs. There is also a large fireplace made of Swedish marble.
