Car Rental in Leon

SUV rental in Leon

The most popular SUV models offered at rental locations in Leon are: BMW X3, BMW X5, Toyota Rav4, Hyundai Santa Fe, Kia Sportage, Suzuki Jimny and others.

While selecting your preferred model of an off-road vehicle, please examine the rental conditions. In particular, those requirements that concern credit cards – when it comes to renting an expensive car, sometimes offices in Spain ask information about two credit cards.

Before signing the contract in the rental office upon arrival, check that the invoice figures match with figures in your voucher.

Once the vehicle is assigned, inspect it carefully before leaving the parking. Crossovers and SUVs are often used in tough road conditions, therefore scratches and other exteriour defects are inevitable. Due to this, it is important to check and specify all existing defects in your rental documents.

If you plan to use an off-road vehicle in the mountains, it is recommended to order snow chains. This will save you from unexpected incidents. Other important equipment in Spain are mandatory child seats for travellers with children. OrangeSmile.com wishes you a safe trip and green lights on the roads of Leon!

Driving Advices for Spain – Traffic Regulations and Road Usage Peculiarities
Previous hints
In Spain, there is a very interesting rule concerning parking on one-way streets. On odd days cars can be parked on the side of the street with odd number houses, and on even days cars can be parked on next to houses with even numbers. As a rule, there are both paid and free parking places in all towns of the country.
If a road is marked in red, it means that one cannot stop a car there. If there is one or two yellow stripes painted on the pavement, parking there is also prohibited. These parts of roads allow only pick up and drop off of passengers, and this should be done very quickly.
Drivers should be particularly careful about sections of roads marked with the “VADO” sign. It means the place of entering a garage. Naturally, leaving a car near those signs is prohibited. If a parking area is marked with a blue line, it is prohibited to leave a car there for more than 1.5 - 2 hours.
