Minivan rental in Lanzarote

Typical models of the minivan/minibus class in Lanzarote are: Ford Galaxy 7 seater, Mercedes Viano 8 Seater, Mercedes Vito, Opel Zafira, Peugeot 807 7 seater, VW Touran and others.

Standard capacity of a minivan in Spain is up to 9 people (8+1 formula), traditionally providing seven or eight passenger seats. The capacity of a minibus may vary from 9 to 15 people.

Please note, that in order to rent in Spain a vehicle with capacity which exceeds 8 passengers, you would need a driving license of the corresponding category.

Minivan dimensions are quite unusual for an ordinary driver, which sometimes leads to appearance of scratches and dents during unsuccessful manoeuvring or parking. Therefore, we encourage you to order full coverage of insurance franchise during your booking, or directly at the rental office in Lanzarote.

Before leaving the parking garage in Lanzarote, inspect the minivan for exteriour defects and other signs of damage together with the office representative and mark the found defects found in your rental documents.

In August, roads of the country that connect Madrid to Malaga, Granada, Alicante, Zaragoza, Valencia, Burgos and Barcelona are always loaded. A large number of people tries to get to popular summer resorts during the hot season, so there are always large traffic jams in both directions.
Local petrol stations usually sell unleaded petrol (95 and 98) and diesel fuel. Petrol can be transported in cans – this is very important for drivers who make long distance rides. Gas filling stations can be distinguished by a special «Autogas» sign.
Tourists, who enjoy making rides in beautiful places, should pay attention to national roads located along the coast. They go through a lot of interesting places, and during their trip tourists will be able to relax on wonderful local beaches.
