Driving Advices for Morocco – Traffic Regulations and Road Usage Peculiarities
Previous hints
One of the most scenic and challenging roads in Morocco is located near the Atlas. The tourists, who want to enjoy beautiful mountain landscapes, should be prepared for a journey on narrow winding roads.
We should definitely mention quite a peculiar behavior of country drivers. If in the city drivers are usually aggressive and confident, in the mountain areas the behavior of drivers is completely the opposite. Here drivers are very polite and attentive to each other, although there are also many fans of fast driving among them.
You should also remember that local police treats foreign drivers stricter than local ones. If local drivers can break some rules and never get punished for that, foreigners will have to pay a fine, so it is better not to risk and follow the traffic regulations with great care.
