Standard capacity of a minivan in Malaysia is up to 9 people (8+1 formula), traditionally providing seven or eight passenger seats. The capacity of a minibus may vary from 9 to 15 people.

At the airport, car rental services are provided by two international companies, Avis and Hertz. Other companies represent regional distributors: Kasina Baru, Pantas Rent A Car, Mayflower Car Rental, Orix Car Rental, Insas Pacific Rent A Car. Car rental stands are located in the arrival concourse (points #1-6, 10, 16). Pantas Rent A Car serves its clients in the parking area D (lot CR #17). Rental companies’ stands are open from 7 am to 22 pm. At the weekend and on holidays, they are open to 17 or 18 pm.

Near the long-term lot, these companies have a reserved parking area for rented vehicles.

Cars are taken and returned to the short-term parking lot near the master terminal. In KLIA 2, cars are taken and returned to Gateway@klia2.

To learn about the working hours of the chosen company, you should contact it beforehand. To book a car in advance, you can use an online car rental service.

At the airport, there are several parking lots: the multi-level garage is located near the Gateway@klia2 complex and offers short-term parking; covered lots A and B; parking lot D. Free transfers serve the long-term lot D. Parking in the long-term lot is free if it doesn’t succeed 30 minutes.
