Minivan rental in Hiroshima

Typical models of the minivan/minibus class in Hiroshima are: Mitsubishi L300 12 Seater, VW Touran, Hyundai Trajet 7 seater, Toyota Tarago 8 Seater, Ford Galaxy 7 seater, Opel Zafira and others.

Standard capacity of a minivan in Japan is up to 9 people (8+1 formula), traditionally providing seven or eight passenger seats. The capacity of a minibus may vary from 9 to 15 people.

Please note, that in order to rent in Japan a vehicle with capacity which exceeds 8 passengers, you would need a driving license of the corresponding category.

Minivan dimensions are quite unusual for an ordinary driver, which sometimes leads to appearance of scratches and dents during unsuccessful manoeuvring or parking. Therefore, we encourage you to order full coverage of insurance franchise during your booking, or directly at the rental office in Hiroshima.

Before leaving the parking garage in Hiroshima, inspect the minivan for exteriour defects and other signs of damage together with the office representative and mark the found defects found in your rental documents.

OrangeSmile.com wishes you a great driving experience on the roads of Japan!

Driving Advices for Japan – Traffic Regulations and Road Usage Peculiarities
Previous hints
This peculiarity of local roads explains the fact why many Japanese cars are simply not equipped with beam washers. Local motorists can hardly imagine why someone may need this device.
All roads, regardless of their location, have all road markings. Road markings in Japan indicate not only different lanes, but also parking spaces, so driving in the country is really simple. The only roads that have no road markings are gravel roads. They are located, as a rule, in the western part of the country, in the mountains.
Crossing a double solid line while driving is literally impossible in Japan. As a rule, instead of the double lane the roads are equipped with a narrow lawn or a separating border. Instead of a lane line many roads are equipped with longitudinal "speed bumps", which quite often have metal taps.

Nearby is the Hiroshima National Peace Memorial Hall, which has been a permanent venue for various special occasions for many years. The famous Genbaku, the sight of world importance, is situated here. This beautiful building has miraculously survived the bombing.
In memory of local children being victims of the bombing the Children's Peace Monument was opened. It is a beautiful monument dedicated to Sasaki Sadako, a girl who hadn’t enough time to make 1000 paper cranes due to the rapidly developing radiation sickness. The Peace Memorial Park is a must-see destination; excursions around it would take more than one day.

Fans of historical sites would be interested in the Hiroshima Castle; a beautiful medieval building was completely rebuilt after the global destruction. Currently, one of the towers of the castle houses a small museum with an interesting collection of antique arms and armor. Near the castle there is the main Shinto Shrine of Hiroshima, Gokoku. Entry into its territory is free; during interesting events and holidays, rituals are held in this shrine.
