Without a doubt, Corona Save The Beach is one of the most unusual hotels in Rome. The building of the hotel looks more like a creative modern installation rather than an accommodation. The explanation is simple – the hotel is made of litter. The project was developed by a famous artist from Germany, Hans-Jürgen Schult. Corona Save The Beach greeted its first guests in 2010. The history of the hotel is incredibly interesting. The hotel was built together with volunteers who worked for free. Together, they were collecting trash on large European beaches. Thanks to their efforts, it became possible to collect 12 tons of litter.

Old photo cameras, countless plastic bottles and aluminum cans, carton boxes and old clothes – all these trash items were used in the construction of the hotel. Corona Save The Beach offers five twin guest rooms that are quite comfortable if not taking into consideration the absence of water and electricity. All guest rooms have premium retro style furniture. Walls inside the building are also covered with litter. Ever since the opening, Corona Save The Beach does not stand empty and actively participates in various environmental programs.
