A wonderful monument of gothic architecture is the Duomo di Bolzano built in the 15th century. This is the most important church of the city. The building was originally built in the gothic style, but later rebuilt in the “baroque” style. Today it houses the city archive of the gates to the Dolomites of Alps (as Bolzano is often called for being close to them).
