Convertible rental in Rome

The most widespread cabriolet models offered for rent in Italy are: BMW 3 series Cabriolet, Peugeot 206 Cabriolet, Renault Megane Cabriolet, Audi A3 Convertible, Audi A4 Convertible and BMW Z4 Roadster.

At the booking time, please check the rental conditions carefully. Quite often, rental offices in Rome require two credit cards to guarantee issuance of a cabrio or a roadster.

We recommend ordering additional no-excess insurance that covers your risk (franchise), since the franchise amount for cabriolets in Italy is quite high.

Make sure to inspect the rental invoice issued at the office in Rome and compare it with the information indicated in your voucher. Sometimes, rental officers make 'unintentional' mistakes in rental invoices.

In parking garage, examine the vehicle for defects and scratches carefully. If you find any of them, check whether they have been specified in your rental document.

When parking a cabriolet in Rome, it is recommended to unfold the roof and close windows in order to prevent theft or robbery.

OrangeSmile.com wishes you an exciting journey with an open roof around Italy!

Driving Advices for Italy – Traffic Regulations and Road Usage Peculiarities
Previous hints
If a crossing has a circular movement, cars within the circle have a priority. Entering such an intersection, as well as leaving it, is considered one of the most risky and difficult maneuvers for inexperienced drivers. In order to "fit" the fast moving row of cars, a driver must have a considerable skill level.
When driving on a highway, stops can only be made in specially designated places. They are made in a shape of small draw-ins with the «SOS» sign. Making a stop in the wrong place will result in a large fine.
Local drivers often ignore speed limits. However, foreign visitors should not break the local traffic regulations. Fines for violation of the traffic rules in Italy are the highest in Europe.
