In Ancona pay attention to Mole Vanvitelliana. Built in the 18th century, this place has already been a hospital, a prison, and barracks, and a tobacco factory. Now it is opened for tourists. The Cathedral of Ancona is also quite remarkable. The remains of St. Kiriak are still preserved here and worship services are conduct in this building, constructed in the 10th century. A kilometer from the Cathedral, there is the Plebiscito Square, where San Domenico Church is located. The Merchants’ Lodge in Ancona, which construction began at the end of the 14th century, is also quite interesting. San Francesco alle Scale, Saint Pellegrino and Theresa’s church, the Holy House at the market square, the Church of The Holy Mother, the Palace of the Elders – all these buildings in Ancona of Medieval era almost haven’t been affected by the time.
