In addition to the international driver's permit, foreign drivers are required to have the passport. Other obligatory documents are the vehicle certificate and the insurance (the “green card”).
In settlements, drivers are not allowed to exceed the speed of 50 km/h, and in some regions of the country the maximum permitted speed is 20 km/h. On country roads, drivers are allowed to increase the speed up to 90 km/h, and on highways the speed limit is 110 km/h.
There are some items that must necessarily be present in every car. These are a warning triangle, a first aid kit and a set of spare bulbs. The presence of a fire extinguisher is a recommendation. Drivers should not forget that if they need to get out of the car on a highway, this can be done only wearing a reflective vest.

Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport is considered to be the largest airport in Hungary serving mainly the capital – the city of Budapest. It is located 15 km away from Budapest. It was built and started to operate in the early 1950s. It was first named Ferihegy after a former owner of the territory where the airport was built. However, in 2011, it was renamed in honour of Franz Liszt, a world-renowned Hungarian composer whose 200th anniversary was celebrated in 2011. Budapest Airport serves flights to Europe, Africa, the Middle and Far East as well as North America. The total number of passengers handled by the airport every year is 15 million.

There are two runways at BUD. Both runways can accept heavy wide-body aircraft.
