The most widespread cabriolet models offered for rent in Greece are: BMW 3 series Cabriolet, Peugeot 206 Cabriolet, Renault Megane Cabriolet and Audi A3 Convertible.

At the booking time, please check the rental conditions carefully. Quite often, rental offices in Rhodes require two credit cards to guarantee issuance of a cabrio or a roadster.

We recommend ordering additional no-excess insurance that covers your risk (franchise), since the franchise amount for cabriolets in Greece is quite high.

Make sure to inspect the rental invoice issued at the office in Rhodes and compare it with the information indicated in your voucher. Sometimes, rental officers make 'unintentional' mistakes in rental invoices.

In parking garage, examine the vehicle for defects and scratches carefully. If you find any of them, check whether they have been specified in your rental document.

When parking a cabriolet in Rhodes, it is recommended to unfold the roof and close windows in order to prevent theft or robbery.

Driving Advices for Greece – Traffic Regulations and Road Usage Peculiarities
Previous hints
The maximum allowed speed when driving in the territory of a city is 50 km/h. In the country the speed limit is 80 km/h, and on highways the maximum permitted speed is 130 km/h. It should be noted that local drivers often do not follow the abovementioned speed limit rules. Almost none of local residents will drive on a highway at a speed less than 150 km/h.
Local roads are distinguished by high quality. Large highways are considered the best, but even small roads in the country will surprise drivers with their smooth surface and level of equipment.
Autobahns are paid in Greece. The cost of a ride depends on the route and type of a vehicle. As a rule, the average cost of using a highway is from 2.5 to 6 euro. Payments are usually made in cash, so drivers are recommended to make sure they have coins and paper money in small denominations.
