Car Rental in Crete

Convertible rental in Crete

The most widespread cabriolet models offered for rent in Greece are: BMW 3 series Cabriolet, Peugeot 206 Cabriolet, Renault Megane Cabriolet and Audi A3 Convertible.

At the booking time, please check the rental conditions carefully. Quite often, rental offices in Crete require two credit cards to guarantee issuance of a cabrio or a roadster.

We recommend ordering additional no-excess insurance that covers your risk (franchise), since the franchise amount for cabriolets in Greece is quite high.

Make sure to inspect the rental invoice issued at the office in Crete and compare it with the information indicated in your voucher. Sometimes, rental officers make 'unintentional' mistakes in rental invoices.

In parking garage, examine the vehicle for defects and scratches carefully. If you find any of them, check whether they have been specified in your rental document.

When parking a cabriolet in Crete, it is recommended to unfold the roof and close windows in order to prevent theft or robbery.

OrangeSmile.com wishes you an exciting journey with an open roof around Greece!

There is a clearly demarcated area suitable for parking in the center of Athens. If a road has a blue marking, these parking spaces are made for local residents only. Parking spaces for guests of the city are marked in white. Finally, parking spaces for special services and privileged cars are marked with yellow.
Parking in the center of Athens is paid on weekdays from 9:00 to 21:00, and on Saturdays from 9:00 to 16:00. The system of payment for parking is also quite interesting. For example, a one hour long parking will cost around €0.50; a parking place for two hours costs one euro, for 2.5 hours - 4 euro, and for 3 hours - 6 euro. Therefore, parking time is limited to three hours.
Vehicles equipped with snow chains must follow a special speed limit. It is 50 km/h, regardless of the type of a road.
