Car Rental in Essen

SUV rental in Essen

The most popular SUV models offered at rental locations in Essen are: BMW X3, Toyota Rav4, Kia Sportage, Toyota Landcruiser, BMW X5, Hyundai Santa Fe and others.

While selecting your preferred model of an off-road vehicle, please examine the rental conditions. In particular, those requirements that concern credit cards – when it comes to renting an expensive car, sometimes offices in Germany ask information about two credit cards.

Before signing the contract in the rental office upon arrival, check that the invoice figures match with figures in your voucher.

Once the vehicle is assigned, inspect it carefully before leaving the parking. Crossovers and SUVs are often used in tough road conditions, therefore scratches and other exteriour defects are inevitable. Due to this, it is important to check and specify all existing defects in your rental documents.

If you plan to use an off-road vehicle in the mountains, it is recommended to order snow chains. This will save you from unexpected incidents. Other important equipment in Germany are mandatory child seats for travellers with children. OrangeSmile.com wishes you a safe trip and green lights on the roads of Essen!

Enjoying SUV and sightseeing of Essen
Essen is a major industrial and exhibition center, business travelers are main guests of the city. Anyway, it is quite attractive for ordinary travelers. Essen was badly damaged during the Second World War; much of historical buildings were destroyed. The main historical symbol of the city and its most important attraction is the Essen Cathedral. This unique monument of architecture is designed in the Romanesque style; it was built in the 14th century. The destructive war affected this majestic religious structure. After war, the cathedral literally laid in ruins. Local residents managed to recreate its former beauty with amazing precision; today the cathedral looks as flawless as it was hundreds of years ago.
The crypt of the cathedral is also one of the important landmarks; it was built long before the cathedral, in the 10th century. Originally, the crypt hasn’t attracted the attention of historians, but later scientists were able to find a lot of unique historical artifacts in it. Currently, much of them are located in the Cathedral, so all attenders could see the unique treasures and regalia of the old Germanic kings.

Fans of art and those who love to visit interesting cultural centers are recommended to visit the Museum Folkwang. This is a large-scale cultural center with an interesting collection of paintings. Among exhibits there are ancient paintings and works by contemporary artists; one of the most interesting is a collection of Russian expressionists.
