Driving Advices for France – Traffic Regulations and Road Usage Peculiarities
Previous hints
It’s very easy to determine the type of a road in France. There is always a corresponding letter next to the number of each of them: “A” is for highways, “N” means national roads, “D” is for departmental roads, and “C” is for utility roads. The latter have a speed limit of 30 km/h.
It’s also very simple to determine the type of parking - the "blue zone" parking is an area where you can leave your car for no longer than 1.5 hours, the "green zone" is intended for a long-term parking, and in the "red zone" parking is prohibited.
The parking disc and parking tickets bought in special machines should be placed on the inner side of the windshield so that they are clearly visible.

Rental, parking and other info on Paris - Orly Airport
Orly Airport is situated south of Paris. It services domestic flights. The airport got its name from Orly commune, where it is located. Its opening was held in 1932. Now Orly Airport's passenger traffic is limited to 30 million people per year. Night flights are also forbidden here.

You can get to the airport by A6 or Nationale 7 highways leading to the South terminal. There is a taxi parking lot at the gates (B and L) of both terminals. Public transport options include bus links. Bus line numbers are 91.10, 183, and 285. Express buses also run here. Night bus routes to the city include numbers 144, 31, and 22. You may travel from the airport to the metro by tram number 7. The airport is connected to the RER B train line at Antony train station and to the RER С train line at Aéroport d'Orly train station. From here the bus will take passengers to the terminals. It is possible to book a transfer from or to Orly Airport on its web site. OrlyVAL, metro shuttle service of the airport, is free. Express buses provide connection between the terminals.

Orly Airport consists of two terminals: South and West ones. West Terminal has vehicle rental offices. They are situated in the Central Hall between Gates A, B and C. Such famous large companies as Advantage, Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, InterRent, Enterprise Rent-A-Car (Citer), Europcar, Firefly, Car Rental, Hertz, Keddy, National, Sixt, and Thrifty are operating at Orly Airport. To rent a car you will only need a credit card and an international driver license.

You can get to car park P0 through the Central Hall on the ground floor. Level Zero (the arrival zone) of the West Terminal has an exit through the baggage claim area, leading to car park P2. As a rule, clients receive a rented car at these parking lots (it is the service the vast majority of firms offer), although some companies (for example, Firefly) let you get a car on the territory of the airport or offer free delivery to the parking space for a leased vehicle (for instance, Travelcar). The place of car returning is specified when ordering. By default, it is the airport parking, but you may choose another place in the city. Shuttles run between all the car parks and terminals every 8 minutes. A car can be booked in advance through numerous online booking sites. Read all...
Driving limousine through sights of Paris
Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris is, without a doubt, one of the most prominent symbols of the French capital. It never ceases to amaze its visitors with its unusual architecture and rich decorations. Many believe that alchemists have encrypted the recipe of the philosopher's stone in the architecture of the building. The church is decorated with colorful stained-glass windows, and its walls depict scenes from well-known religious parables. Basilica of Sacre-Coeur is another famous religious attraction of the city. Its architectural style is a unique combination of Romanesque, Gothic and Byzantine traditions.

The legendary Moulin Rouge cabaret is famous far beyond the borders of the country. The cabaret has frequently become the inspiration for filmmakers, who have devoted many movies to it. Nowadays this is not just a nighttime entertainment, but a real museum. The halls of the cabaret are decorated with antique furniture, and on its walls you will see photos and newspaper clippings, some of which are more than one hundred years old. Every tourist should definitely see this wonderful show at least once and make a walk in a magnificent garden of music-hall.
