Make sure to inspect the rental invoice issued at the office in Turku and compare it with the information indicated in your voucher. Sometimes, rental officers make 'unintentional' mistakes in rental invoices.

In parking garage, examine the vehicle for defects and scratches carefully. If you find any of them, check whether they have been specified in your rental document.

When parking a cabriolet in Turku, it is recommended to unfold the roof and close windows in order to prevent theft or robbery.

Driving Advices for Finland – Traffic Regulations and Road Usage Peculiarities
Previous hints
Some major roads are equipped with large electronic scoreboards that indicate a lot of useful information for drivers. As a rule, these scoreboards show the maximum permitted speed on the road, and some of them indicate the speed of approaching cars.
Finnish drivers enjoy helping the police. If they have witnessed a serious traffic violation or rude behavior on the road, they are likely to report this to the police as fast as they can. Such actions are considered quite appropriate in the country. In order to avoid trouble, all drivers should treat each other with attention and respect.
Travelers are recommended to remember several helpful road signs. The sign «KESKUS» (or «KESKUSTA») will bring you to the city center, and the sign «OPASTUS UNFORMATION» is located close to rest zones. «KIELLETTY» is a prohibitory sign.

Turku Airport is located to the north of Turku, Finland, 8 km from the city center. It is one of the fifth airports with the biggest passenger traffic in the country. It annually services about 400 thousand passengers. The airport is also used by the State Finavia Airline Company. Turku offers different services, including budget flights by low-costers. The airport was built in the mid-40s of the last century and was the first civil Finnish airport. Thanks to its geographical location (it is close to the sea port and has railway connection with neighboring countries; it is also close to international tracks), the airport is convenient for transport operations.

There are highways E-18 and E-63 not far from the airport. Also, the airport has railway connection with Russia and China. You can travel from the airport to the city center by public bus (#1).
