Car Rental in Tartu

Family car rental in Tartu

The segments of standard, intermediate and full-size cars in Estonia traditionally include the following vehicles: VW Passat, Renault Scenic, Peugeot 508, Ford Mondeo, Hyundai Sonata, Mercedes A Class and others.

The process of a car reservation on OrangeSmile.com consists of 3 simple steps: (1) search by the dates and pick-up location, (2) car type selection, and (3) booking form completion. After the booking, you will receive a rental voucher at your e-mail address.

Before selecting a specific model to book, check your planned routes. If you are going to drive mostly within the Tartu borders, choose a car of 'Standard' or 'Compact' types. In case you plan long cross-countries trips or mountain adventures, the more comfortable and powerful 'Fullsize' models would become a better choice.

If you need a car with an automatic gearbox, try to make a reservation at least a few days before the pick-up date, since confirmation of such models in Tartu might be delayed for a day or two.

Upon the return of your car, carefully check that the total payment amount (invoice) is computed according to the original rental conditions.

We wish you 'smooth', secure and safe roads in Tartu!

Driving Advices for Estonia – Traffic Regulations and Road Usage Peculiarities
Previous hints
Bicycle is a popular mode of transport in Estonia. To make sure cyclists are in safety, there are many special lanes for them in major cities of the country. At the same time, quite often cyclists have to move on the same road together with motorists.
In spite of the fact that Estonia is distinguished by very strict traffic regulations and a system of fines, accidents involving pedestrians occur quite often. In order to help to protect pedestrians and motorists, the police advise people to wear reflectors at night. Reflectors, which can be attached to clothes easily, are available in any police station free of charge. Special promotions, during which reflectors are given to pedestrians for free, also take place quite often in Estonia.
It should be mentioned that starting from January 1, 2011, pedestrians are obliged to wear reflectors. Pedestrians, who break the rule, are likely to be fined. Motorists are also prohibited from leaving their vehicles without a reflector.
