Car Rental in Prague

Convertible rental in Prague

The most widespread cabriolet models offered for rent in Czechia are: BMW 3 series Cabriolet, Peugeot 206 Cabriolet, Renault Megane Cabriolet, Audi A3 Convertible, Audi A4 Convertible and BMW Z4 Roadster.

At the booking time, please check the rental conditions carefully. Quite often, rental offices in Prague require two credit cards to guarantee issuance of a cabrio or a roadster.

We recommend ordering additional no-excess insurance that covers your risk (franchise), since the franchise amount for cabriolets in Czechia is quite high.

Make sure to inspect the rental invoice issued at the office in Prague and compare it with the information indicated in your voucher. Sometimes, rental officers make 'unintentional' mistakes in rental invoices.

In parking garage, examine the vehicle for defects and scratches carefully. If you find any of them, check whether they have been specified in your rental document.

When parking a cabriolet in Prague, it is recommended to unfold the roof and close windows in order to prevent theft or robbery.

OrangeSmile.com wishes you an exciting journey with an open roof around Czechia!

Driving Advices for Czechia – Traffic Regulations and Road Usage Peculiarities
Previous hints
In large cities, there are often traffic jams from 8:00 to 10:00 and from 17:00 to 19:00. Many foreign drivers do not notice the «TRAM», «TAXI» and «BUS» signs when they drive in heavy traffic on the road. However, these signs indicate special lanes for trams, taxis and buses, and drivers are not permitted to occupy these lanes.
Drivers in the Czech Republic are distinguished by politeness. They treat other motorists with respect. If you see the car blinking with its lower beams, it means that it gives way to other road users. In this country such a behavior is considered a norm.
Pedestrians are also treated with great care and respect. When reaching an unregulated crossroads, make sure to slow down, and if there are people nearby, you need to stop completely.

If you happened to be in Prague in February, then you are lucky to enjoy two amazing events held during this month. The first one starts on February 18 and lasts for more than a week. This is the glorious Prague Carnival, during which barmen, baristas prepare only Brazilian cocktails. The event starts with a colorful parade of allegorical cars, sexy dancers, jugglers, and drummers. In the noise of the festival, everyone can participate - you can play on portable drums, percussion or anything that only wags into your head, you can come here to even dance and sing. When walking with the crowd through the streets, you will feel some special holiday atmosphere, even if the scope of the carnival is not so great as at the Brazilian Carnival in Rio de Janeiro, but under the good weather, the crowd is organized into a fun holiday that should not be missed. If you do not like such processions, you can come to the party at the final destination - Smichov beach.
