Car Rental in Paphos

Family car rental in Paphos

The segments of standard, intermediate and full-size cars in Cyprus traditionally include the following vehicles: Toyota Camry, Nissan Maxima, Mercedes C Class, BMW 3 Series, Toyota Altis, Renault Megane and others.

The process of a car reservation on OrangeSmile.com consists of 3 simple steps: (1) search by the dates and pick-up location, (2) car type selection, and (3) booking form completion. After the booking, you will receive a rental voucher at your e-mail address.

Before selecting a specific model to book, check your planned routes. If you are going to drive mostly within the Paphos borders, choose a car of 'Standard' or 'Compact' types. In case you plan long cross-countries trips or mountain adventures, the more comfortable and powerful 'Fullsize' models would become a better choice.

If you need a car with an automatic gearbox, try to make a reservation at least a few days before the pick-up date, since confirmation of such models in Paphos might be delayed for a day or two.

Upon the return of your car, carefully check that the total payment amount (invoice) is computed according to the original rental conditions.

We wish you 'smooth', secure and safe roads in Paphos!

Driving Advices for Cyprus – Traffic Regulations and Road Usage Peculiarities
Previous hints
Quite often you can see huge tour buses on mountain roads. As a rule, these buses are followed by a row of trucks and carts. Do not try to overtake in such a situation as it may be dangerous. It is better to move patiently together with the flow of vehicles. On narrow mountain roads that often have no fences every extra maneuver is always a risk.
Car drivers should treat local farmers with extra attention, as they are one of the most “dangerous” categories of drivers. It is very simple to distinguish farmers from ordinary motorists - almost all of them use pickup trucks that are loaded with fruit and vegetables.
You can meet farmers on both mountain streamers and high-speed roads. Experienced motorists recommend staying away from them as far as possible. Quite often trucks are loaded with oranges, boxes of vegetables and hefty cabbages that fall down to the road. Driving behind such pickups is quite unsafe, so it is recommended to keep the distance.

Those tourists looking to make purchases in small shops and at the open markets of the city should have enough of change.

Tourists may choose any season to spend a vacation on the resort of Paphos. The heat of the tourist season falls within April and October. The rainiest period on the resort is considered to last from November till March being not the most favorable season for touring and beach recreation fans.
