Car Rental in Beijing

Minivan rental in Beijing

Typical models of the minivan/minibus class in Beijing are: Ford Galaxy 7 seater, Opel Zafira, Chevrolet Uplander, Toyota Minibus, Toyota Previa, Mitsubishi L300 12 Seater and others.

Standard capacity of a minivan in China is up to 9 people (8+1 formula), traditionally providing seven or eight passenger seats. The capacity of a minibus may vary from 9 to 15 people.

Please note, that in order to rent in China a vehicle with capacity which exceeds 8 passengers, you would need a driving license of the corresponding category.

Minivan dimensions are quite unusual for an ordinary driver, which sometimes leads to appearance of scratches and dents during unsuccessful manoeuvring or parking. Therefore, we encourage you to order full coverage of insurance franchise during your booking, or directly at the rental office in Beijing.

Before leaving the parking garage in Beijing, inspect the minivan for exteriour defects and other signs of damage together with the office representative and mark the found defects found in your rental documents.

OrangeSmile.com wishes you a great driving experience on the roads of China!

Travelling in minivan through Beijing
It is not common to leave a tip to service personnel in Beijing hotels. If you definitely want to please a maid, a pair of Yuan would be enough.

Bargaining is natural on the local markets. Do not hesitate to do this as sometimes it can bring the price down sufficiently. Of course, no bargaining is possible in stores. However, there is another advantage – you can easily exchange the defective product.

You should be pretty careful on transport crossings. Local drivers often do not bother to follow traffic regulations, so keeping an eye on the cars around you is always a good idea. However, quite often pedestrians can be allowed to go even in the wrong place.

People can always talk to local residents and, for example, ask to show the right way. Of course, language barrier is quite often a real obstacle in communication. However, if you face this problem there is a simple solution – show a map to the local taxi driver and specify the point you need to get. Any driver will bring you to the desired point of interest within minutes.

Tourists are recommended to learn names of main attractions and main metro stations. This will make travelling around the city much easier.
