Previous hints
For example, on Mondays the cars, the number of which ends with numbers 1 and 2, are not allowed to use some roads. On Tuesday, the same restriction applies to cars the last figure in the number of which is 3 and 4, and so on until Friday. On Saturday and Sunday there are no restrictions.
The roads with the abovementioned entry system always have special signs installed nearby. Do not even hope that you can enter such a road on a forbidden day. This will be certainly noticed and you will receive a fine, the amount of which will be approximately 50 USD.
In Brazil, traffic violations result not only in heavy fines, but also in penalty points. When the number of points reaches the critical level, the driver’s license is cancelled. In this case, the driver will need to pass the test and obtain the new driving license.

Grilled fish and seafood are a typical food type in Rio. It is possible to try such seafood virtually everywhere, from small restaurants and cafes to local markets and small street food carts. Moqueca is another incredibly popular and delicious dish with seafood. It slightly reminds of a fish soup, but Moqueca is much thicker. This savory soup contains squid, prawns, mussels, and various fish species. Vegetables and fresh greens are essential ingredients of Moqueca. Different restaurants can offer slightly different variations of this fish soup. Sometimes Moqueca doesn’t contain any fish, only seafood. This variation is considered to be the most delicious one.

Without a doubt, Tapioca is the most unusual street food in Rio. It is cooked from starch made of manioc roots. The process of cooking this dish is very fun to watch – local chefs strew white powder on a hot pan and the powder turns into a pancake in a few minutes. Tapioca pancakes are served with various fruit and sweet fillings and are absolutely not expensive.
