Jorge Newbery Airfield or Aeroparque Jorge Newbery is an international civilian airport of Buenos Aires. It is shared with the Argentine Air Force. The airfield was built in the territory of the former swamp and was opened in 1947. Its original name 17 October Airfield (Aeroparque 17 de Octubre) was changed to modern one in 1955, in honour of the pioneer of Argentine aviation. The airport is located in the neighbourhood of Palermo, along the Río de la Plata. It is the second major air terminal of the capital, which handles regular domestic and international flights. The airport is served by one runway. The passenger terminal is divided into 3 sectors, which are A, B and C. Sector A serves international flights.

Jorge Newbery Airfield is linked to the city by several modes of transport, which are public buses, shuttles, taxis, and transfers. Public buses number 160, 33, 37, and 45 depart from the parking areas placed opposite Sectors A and B of the passenger terminal to various city districts. Taxi ranks are positioned near the exits from Sector A of the terminal. Car rental services are available in the territory of the airport.

Besides the above-mentioned companies, the regional company Localiza operates at the airport. The representative offices of the companies are found in Sector A2, in the public area of the Terminal. In order to get to the car rental offices in Sector A, you should go down to the lower floor in the domestic arrival area. The car rental offices and taxi services are located on the lower level. Rental vehicles are collected from and returned to the South parking garage of the airport.

In addition to the companies placed in the terminal, several international agencies, the employees of which meet their customers beside the passenger terminal and take them to the rental car pick-up location, cooperate with the airport. They are Sixt, Europcar and Enterprise. The given companies offer advance booking of necessary vehicles through online services.
