Sudak is famous for its unique historical monuments and archeological districts. The spectacular monument of the Middle Ages is the Genoese Fortress built in the 14th-15th centuries. The fortress is located on top of the bluff rock that made the construction almost impregnable. Exactly this fact let the historical monument survive to this day.
