Sudak is famous for its unique historical monuments and archeological districts. The spectacular monument of the Middle Ages is the Genoese Fortress built in the 14th-15th centuries. Now, the medieval fortress is a place where historical festivals and performances are regularly held. It is very interesting to visit the fortress in the context of the usual sightseeing tour. On the territory of the waterpark, there are pools for children and adults and different rides. It is interesting to spend time in the waterpark even with small children, as there are special playgrounds for them. Extreme fans will not be bored here too, as there are several special rides.
The fans of sea entertainments should certainly drop in the local dolphinarium called “Nemo”. Interesting performances with dolphins and sea lions are annually held for the visitors. A lot of additional services are also available for the guests of the dolphinarium. This also serves as a special wellness center. Here, children with different diseases can get the dolphin therapy. The visitors can swim with amazing sea dwellers in one pool and take interesting memorable pictures.
The beautiful historic building that served as the summer cottage of rich baron Funk before is occupied by the History Museum of Sudak now. It was opened in 1998 but the museum had not worked for a long time, as it was damaged significantly in a fire. It was reopened in 2004. Now, the rich collection of the museum is presented in 13 showrooms. Most of the exhibits are archeological artifacts that have been found in the surroundings of Sudak.

Kiev Pechersk Lavra is one more irreplaceable symbol of Kiev. This is a large complex of religious buildings, the history of which starts in 1051. This is the year when monks started transforming caves into monasteries and temples. It took as long as nine centuries to turn an empty space on the right bank of the Dnepr River into a beautiful complex of magnificent churches and monasteries. Kiev Pechersk Lavra suffered great damage during the years of World War II, for example, the reconstruction of the Uspensky Cathedral was finished only in 2000. Nowadays, this magnificent complex has not only religious but also great cultural importance as many of its buildings are true architectural landmarks.
