A walk through the historical district of Hue gives a lot of unforgettable impressions - unique historic landmarks can be seen at every step here. Here are the tombs of the eight last emperors of the Nguyen dynasty. They are buried directly in the palaces that belonged to the rulers hundreds of years ago. Each such palace has its own magnificent garden. One of the most beautiful is the Mausoleum of King Minh Mang built in the first half of the 19th century. The adjoining territory of the palace is decorated with age-old pines, among which is a large bronze monument dedicated to the great ruler. Tomb of Tự Đức (Mausoleum of King Tu Duc) is one of the most large-scale architectural ensembles. Besides the palace itself, an ancient reading pavilion and an original chess room are perfectly preserved here. Here you can see a small stage surrounded by exotic plants where theatrical performances were held many years ago. At the top of the hill is a beautiful architectural monument of the early 20th century - the Tomb of Khải Định (Mausoleum of King Khai Dinh). The mausoleum is surrounded by a powerful fortification wall. During its construction, small pieces of glass and phosphorus were sprinkled into it.
