Despite the fact that Fukuoka doesn’t feature an abundance of historical monuments and cultural centers, excursion fans won’t get bored in the city. One of the major historical sites here is Fukuoka Castle Remains located on one of the highest hills. Powerful fortifications were built in the 17th century; modern travelers can see only a small part of surviving elements of the building. Next to ruins begins scenic Maizuru Park; a walk through it will give a lot of impressions. These beautiful places would be great for admiring city views.
