In China, travelers can visit a city with a rich history and heritage – Nanjing. For a long time, Nanjing was the capital of this country. Nowadays, it is the capital of the Jiangsu province. The next mention of Nanjing dates back to the 14th century. This is when the rebellion against the Mongolian Yuan dynasty emerged in the region. For fifty years starting from 1368, Nanjing was the central city in Hongwu. This is when the territory of Nanjing was protected by a wall. Medog

Medog is the most isolated and depopulated region of China. There live just about 10 000 people. Until 2010 there wasn’t even a road that will help locals to get to the nearby towns. This region lies on the territory of 31 300 square kilometers. Today its major value is the historic cultural heritage. Medog is a town where has placed a lot of religious holy places. There were saved several small villages which live as their ancestors thousands of years ago.

This region is also rich in its nature beauties. In the mountains you can find a lot of rare animals, plants and birds. Terracotta Army

From the series “15 Historical Monuments, with Riddles not yet Solved”
One of the unique historical monuments was found in Xi'an nearby Qin Shi Huang's mausoleum. There were found more than 8 000 terracotta sculptures of Chinese warriors that were buried on the square with their horses. These sculptures were buried here with the first emperor of the Qin dynasty in 210 BC. We still don't know whose idea was to make this Terracotta Army in a burial place.

These statues have a lot of unusual things. Every sculpture has its own style and decorations. The researchers can't find even the similar faces among 1 000 soldiers.
