Monuments of art and culture are the main property of the city and its inhabitants. In Bryansk, there are more than 500 monuments of archeology, history, urban planning, art, architecture, as well as objects of scientific, historical, artistic and cultural value. On the territory of the city there are palaces and houses of culture, ancient buildings and museums, as well as interesting modern galleries. The permanent venue for various cultural events is the city's Palace of Culture named after Medvedev, the Palace of Culture of the Bryansk Machine-Building Plant, the House of Culture of the Soviet District, the Palace of Culture of Railway Workers and the Palace of Culture named after Kravtsova. One of the most visited tourism sites for many years is the park-museum named after A. K. Tolstoy. Here from the old withered trees, real works of art have been cut out, similar to which you cannot see in any other city. The most important monument dedicated to the victims of the Great Patriotic War is the Mound of Immortality. The opening of the monument took place in 1968 and it is located in the territory of one of the most beautiful city parks. Among the religious attractions the most interesting is the Intercession Cathedral, an incredibly beautiful snow-white construction with sky-blue domes.
